Even though I haven’t been posting in a long time, I have definitely been keeping up with the ever changing realm of the web. After posting about my go to Web 2.0 services back in May 2006, I found myself inundated with new and exciting Web 2.0 offerings. Unfortunately in this world of over-abundance it is easy to get overwhelmed by the mountain of content and services. I soon realized I had to stop reading sites like Mashable! and Life Hacker on a regular basis because they were clouding my “what I need” with a bunch of “That’s cool as shit”. In an effort to get my ducks in a row, I decided to only focus on what was essential to me and to go searching for something new only when I had a “need’ gap to fill.
The results have been quite successful and has produced this list of “My Essentials”. These are the things that allow me to function on most days.
Coda - What i use to develop Web Appications

As my needs change over time so will the list. You can come back to this post or check out my current list in the sidebar. Maybe some of these things will be just what you need and hopefully you will be able to ignore the ones that aren’t.
Enjoy.
