New England Patriots Linebacker Ted Johnson Retires

After a week of watching updates on how Boston’s nut-job left fielder Manny Ramirez has asked to be traded, dogged it while running to first base against the D-Rays, and refused to play in a game when he was sorely needed Wednesday night, it’s time to pay tribute to a true class act on the Boston sports scene. After numerous concussions and other injuries, Patriot LB Ted Johnson is calling it a career. A solid, dependable LB for ten seasons, Johnson helped lead the Pats to four Super Bowls, while continuously restructuring his contract to help the team sign other players and to be able to stay with the team that drafted him back in 1995. When it comes to great work-ethic, toughness and heart, I guess you can say it was just “Ted being Ted”.
