I am not a huge drinker of wine and I definately don’t find myself in Trader Joe’s (which I think is the ultimate single women’s grocery chain and single guys have yet to understand the possibilities) very often. Last night was different. I was confronted not only with the thirst for wine, but also the mob scene known as Sunday at the Cambridge Trader Joe’s. What I found, after fighting my way through the throngs of organic this and non-geneticaly morphed that, was a killer wine section that was reasonably priced. But don’t worry. I am not going to start spewing about grapes or even use the word vintage or bouque once. The only thing I am going to say is, Charles Shaw….$2.99 a bottle…..$36 a case…and tastes pretty damn good. Check out this page for the story behind the wine that is normally called ‘Two Buck Chuck’ See yah Boone’s, Chuck has come to town and is giving you the business.
If you could care less about wine then check out their killer beer selection too. If you don’t care about that either at least go over and check out the single women.
Enjoy.

Your criticism of T. Joe’s is way off-base. I’m happy to hear it finally made it’s way back East.

Don’t get me wrong mr. gump. I definately enjoy the goods that come out of T. Joe’s but will not do my everyday shopping there. They definately have some specialty items that I will travel for including their wine, beer, frozen Edamame, and their great coffee selection. I am not sure what the critism was. They just don’t sell the same things I buy on a weekly basis at my local grocery store. I will probably pay a price when I am 80 and grow a 3rd arm from all of the hormone laden chicken i have eaten in my lifetime.

I agree with you that it’s not an everyday shopping kinda place. But the frozen section, at least the one in Reno, is outstanding for stocking my freezer. And yes, the inexpensive wine. And, they just came out with their own premium Junmai sake that’s better than I expected.
