There seems to be a lot of talk going on these days about Pandora vs. last.FM. Over the past few months I have written about each of them (Pandora|Last.FM) and I am loving all of this chatter. Here is a great post from Mashable today that consolidates all of it quite nicely.

For me, these services are some of the most important ways to find, share, and experience new music. I find it a shame that the majority of people out there will never even see or hear about either of them. I am getting pretty tired of the worries that the RIAA is coming after college students for downloading the new fabricated Offspring single (btw. I just chose them cause they are best example of crappy music making it big that I could think of and my buddy shermadelic is a fan). The reality is most people could care less about Offspring or the fact that their new single was released and is being shared by 12 year olds across the world. I think it is about time to take the spoon fed radio tracks out of the mouths of Americans (we are some of the worst offenders) and start getting them to think for themselves. Pandora and last.FM are two of the best ways to do just that.

Enjoy.
