Since I find myself so jacked up (does anyone say that anymore?..i know it used to be cool) for the Brian Jonestown Massacre show this Friday night at T.T. The Bears in Cambridge, MA, I have been coming across a few great articles on the subject. Here is one on Joel Gion, best known as the BJM Tamborine Man from the original lineup. It looks like he has definately ridden the wave of the DIG release and now finds himself working in San Francisco at Amoeba Records and fronting his band, the Dilettantes. Yet based on what is read, he seems to still be the same old Joel.

FYI - Hollaback, Luvah, and myself will be found drunk at the Phoenix Land before and after the show on Friday. Swing by and say hello. Just look for my big noggin.

Good article, the best quote, “I attribute that to a fifth of JD and a 3 day binge on the pinkest biker crank you can get.”

    I personally like this one:

“All I had to do was show up with a tambourine and have fun.”

Not many people can say something like that and really mean it.
