Pogo Browser - Is AT&T Leveraging Apple’s Brain?

AT&T’s new 3D browser experience, Pogo, looks very much like something that Apple would make. Maybe part of the iPhone deal is to let AT&T steal as many design ideas as they can from Apple to see if they can pull them off. Apple obviously thinks they can’t. Based on this demo maybe they have.

The Dandy’s are back! I am definitely in for the Boston show. I am a bit surprised they are going to the Wilbur Theater. If Avalon wasn’t recently dismantled, I would guess they would have played there instead.

There is a pre-sale via Ticket Master on Thursday June 19th at 10am. You can only buy tickets during this pre-sale if you have a Citibank credit card. BS is you ask me. If any of my buddies who I know will be interested in this….(i.e. any of the guys over at slapjack)….have a Citibank card please include me as a plus 2 on that purchase.

How an ex-Marketing Database Developer Passes the Time

He Reads….and Tweets…and…dreams about learning C# so he can build the iPhone app that he dreams about often…and reads some more.

Confused of Calcutta is a blog that I found this afternoon and it offers some great posts that make you think…especially if you deal with marketing and how the dynamic between customer and company is evolving. I recommend the following to start with…Musings About Tweets As Recommendations and Thinking further about syndication. His thoughts on the Four Drivers Model (see second article) really hit home and still has me thinking. Good content and syndication is truly king.

Yummy…Life Hacker has a post on 3 very sexy experimental Firefox extensions.

If you hate those antiquated flash intro websites like I do then you will like what Google has added to their search results.

Cluetrain was way ahead of its time when it comes to companies inability to keep up with the changing dynamics of markets. Scroll to the bottom of their site and read 95 Theses. The list of people who commented and signed the manifesto is impressive.
Cluetrain

“Networked markets are beginning to self-organize faster than the companies that have traditionally served them. Thanks to the web, markets are becoming better informed, smarter, and more demanding of qualities missing from most business organizations.”

It is all about the Atomization of Conversation. Think about it. We do it all the time. Is it a bad thing? I am not sure yet if it takes away some of the substance of how we truly interact or not….but it certainly takes a chunk out of the small talk. Some times I need small talk.

All these adult topics…maybe I am finally growing up. Doubt it.

LiquidPlanner - Slick and Versitile Web-based Project Management

I just read a post on a Mashable (LiquidPlanner Manages the Unknown: Official Release) about LiquidPlanner. I just started to play around with it and I already see it being a great tool for planning and collaborating on just about anything. The sign-up is free for up to 3 users but they do offer reasonable more “corporate” pricing options if you need to blow it out.

If you know of any other web based project management tools please do share. I think this is an interesting space for all those small start-ups who have the where-with-all to focus on process from the get go or just someone who wants to manage their day to day projects.

Thanks to Jeff McCord’s post on “Getting Woopra to Install on Your Mac” I was able to get the Woopra desktop application running on my home machine (Mac OS). This guy saved me a lot of time and frustration.

BTW…Woopra is as good as it looks. Check out this video to see what I mean.
